Please join us for our Career Assistance Program (CAP)! The CAP is designed to assist applicants in preparation of both physical fitness and application/ background portions of the hiring process. This program is open to anyone considering applying for Deputy Sheriff Trainee with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department!
The physical fitness portion incorporates fitness expectations and offers technique guidance to assist in successful completion of the physical agility test (PAT). This test is administered to all applicants and required to be passed for placement on an eligibility list. Physical fitness attire should be worn.
The classroom portion will cover topics such as interview skills, test taking preparation, hiring process, insight on POST requirements and promotional opportunities in law enforcement. Business casual attire should be worn unless participating in the physical fitness portion prior to.
Sessions are held at the Frank Bland Regional Training Center (San Bernardino Sheriff’s Academy) located at 18901 Institution Road, San Bernardino, CA, 92407. Space is limited; therefore pre-registration is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome!
