Applicant Assistance Program
You are invited to attend the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Applicant Assistance Program (AAP). The AAP is designed to help candidates become a better overall applicant when applying with any law enforcement agency. The AAP will assist applicants in the preparation of the non-fitness and physical fitness portions of the hiring process. This program is open to anyone who is interested in a law enforcement position with the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department or any other law enforcement agency.
The Non-Fitness session will cover topics such as study skills, test taking preparation, hiring process, insight on POST requirements and promotional opportunities in law enforcement. The attire is business casual. The locations for these sessions will vary.
The Fitness sessions will cover topics such as strength and conditioning, fitness assessments and assistance with the physical agility test. The attire is appropriate physical fitness gear. The location for these sessions will be at the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department Academy.
Space is limited, therefore pre-registration is recommended. Walk-ins are welcome until class is full. Print the AAP Fitness Waiver and bring it with you completed to the AAP Fitness Session. CLICK HERE for upcoming dates and registration.
